I Ride ATX - Ralph Williamson

Ralph Williamson, aka “Raja Aru” has been digging and riding since he was a teenager when “no dig no ride” was an actual rule instead of merely a suggestion. He still builds trail, because it brings him joy, and he can experince the joy it brings others. He has been lending a helping hand at the legendary 9th Street BMX Trails, and I had a chance to sit down with him and chat about his life and his passion for building trails.

I am grateful that Ralph agreed to be my first interview for “I Ride ATX” - a series where we meet local builders and riders and talk about what they love about the sport in central Texas. This is something I have been trying to get going for a few years now, and with a little help from my friend Josh Congleton, it has finally became a reality. I look forward to bringing you more of these stories.
