Crank ‘N Drank

South Austin Trail Network

Every Tuesday - 6PM

Crank ‘N Drank is a South Austin Trail Network Tuesday evening tradition.

Wheels down at 6pm. This is an advanced level ride, meaning the slowest group is not a beginner group. Crank N Drank is not recommended for beginners. There is a BYOB chill out after the ride. Bring a cooler, your favorite brew, a chair, and some money for Dominoes, Tacodeli, or TCBY which are in the shopping center.

Remember, this is an advanced level ride. Generally the groups are:

  • Group 4/Social: 8-9 MPH with breaks

  • Group 3: 9 MPH with a few breaks

  • Group 2: 9-10 mph with very few breaks

  • Group 1: 10-11 mph with very few breaks

Please be respectful of the riders behind you. IF YOU ARE NOT ABLE TO KEEP UP MOVE ASIDE AND LET THE GROUP THROUGH.

Route Notes

If trail conditions are poor, route will be gravel and road.

This is a tour of the Circle C Metro Trails behind ATX Bikes, about 16 miles worth!

Side Note: On behalf of Austin Ridge Riders MTB Club, I wrote and submitted the Community Activated Parks Proposal for Circle C Metro Park in 2024 with a goal to get a stewardship agreement between ARR and the City for about 13 miles of trail behind ATX bikes within the Circle C Metro Park property. This includes trail between Slaughter and Lacrosse, and Forbidden Fencline and Mack Turtle.

This would allow official workdays which are public, inclusive, and allow us to perhaps put up things like navigational signage, a bike repair station, info kisosks, etc. It would also allow ARR members who live in south Austin to get more value from their membership as ARR could use their resources there. Plus our community could give our two local NICA teams (Bowie, Hays) an opportunity to earn volunteer hours which need to happen via official workdays.

If this is something you support and would like to know more and to stay in the loop, please use the form below.

Thanks!
